Section - A

    1. The carrier performs certain functions in radio communication. What are they?

    2. Explain how a message is transmitted by PCM? How is the effect of addition noise reduced by quantization in PCM system.
    1. Briefly describe camera and picture tube of a monochrome T.V. and explain how scanning helps in picking up and reproduction of picture information.
    2. Explain the difference between chrominance and luminance. How is colour picture tube able to display white?
